About us

History

Munich Chinese United F.C. (MCU) was founded in 2010 in Studenten Stadt Munich. Originally the team was named as Munich Studenten Stadt Football Club and composed of mainly Chinese students and some employees working in Munich. The club was founded in order to provide these football fans a platform to enjoy the pleasure of football.  

 During years of development the club’s name has evolved from “Munich City Football club” and “Munich Chinese Kicker” and moved from Studenten Stadt to Holzheim, and finally to our current training base in Riedmoos in the suburb of Munich. In 2019, the club was officially registered as a nonprofit club in Germany and was finally named as Munich Chinese United F.C. 

 Since the foundation, MCU has actively participated in various Chinese Cups in Germany and various local tournaments with outstanding results. MCU today has become a solid organization with growing member base and influence. MCU has also evolved from a main student organization to an organization welcomed by the whole Chinese community and played an important role in the communication between Chinese and all other football fans. MCU’s ambition is to serve all Chinese and other football fans in and around Munich, as well as provide a decent platform to enjoy football and related services.
